[tab_item title=”Conference Information”]
Grief is a natural reaction to death regardless if the death is a result of an illness, accident, suicide or murder. Often society fails to recognize or understand the support a child and their families need when dealing with death or a trauma. This educational offering will provide those caring for families dealing with trauma or the death of a loved one strategies for improving communication and providing a supportive environment to share feelings and concerns, especially children. Experts from the Lost & Found Grief Center will provide insight into the importance of support families need to receive during this time of need to prevent difficulties later in life.
This conference is for the multidisciplinary team of nurses, child life specialists, social workers, hospital chaplains, and all other healthcare personnel working with this patient population.
