A multi-disciplinary faculty of experts has been selected to speak on a variety of topics related to sports medicine and rehabilitation issues.

The information presented will include practical applications for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other health care professionals seeking to enhance the care of this patient population.

·         Prepare evidence-based policy and procedures for the recognition, treatment, and management of exertional heat stroke patients.

·         Describe the importance of the creation and implementation of sports safety policies and procedures, especially in regards to exercise in the heat.

  • Advocate for staying in compliance with current “standards of care” in emergency management of catastrophic injuries, no matter what the perceived obstacles may be.

·         Review the purpose and function of kinesiology tape and characteristics of design, application, and indication that are unique to Rocktape.

·         Demonstrate the application of Rocktape for various uses of kinesiology taping.

·         Identify current objective testing used to define concussion.

·         List limitations for each objective measure or identify where research is lacking.

·         Identify use of oculovestibular testing in concussion and current evidence-based practice for the clinical setting.
