Description and Target Audience: American Heart Association certification in one-rescuer and two-rescuer adult, child, infant CPR, choking management of the conscious and unconscious, mouth-to-mask ventilation, bag-valve-mask ventilation and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. This course is for students seeking certification in basic healthcare life support skills, initial or renewal.
Testing: Written exam (25 questions) which must be passed with an 84%. One-on-one skills testing required.
Course Length: 4 hours
Certification Length: 2 years
Includes: BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual and certification card.
Springfield daytime classes should receive their card the day of class (card supply may sometime require postal mailing this card). Springfield evening and Saturday classes will receive their card by mail, 1-2 weeks after the class. Branson classes will receive their card by mail, 1-2 weeks after the class.
Springfield Location: Cox College, Basement Room #3
Directions: Enter Cox College on North Jefferson, go into Cox College, go to the elevator or stairs on the left, and go down to the basement.
Branson Location: Cox Branson Medical Center, Suite 406 (unless specified otherwise at the time of registration).
