Course Description

This seated classroom course is for students seeking certification in basic healthcare life support skills, initial or renewal. Students will receive American Heart Association certification in several categories:

  • One-rescuer and rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR
  • Choking management of the conscious and unconscious
  • Mouth-to-mouth ventilation
  • Bag-valve-mask ventilation
  • Automated External Defibrillator training

Testing

Tests are comprised of written exam (25 questions) which must be passed with an 84%. One-on-one skills testing is required.

This course is 4 to 4.5 hours long, depending on the size of the class.
