Kyle Brashear is an associate professor in the Nutrition Diagnostics program at Cox College. Kyle teaches Research Methods in Nutrition, Evidence-based Practice in Nutrition, and Advanced Nutrition Assessment in Chronic Disease I and II. He also works with students in the inpatient clinical setting performing nutrition assessment
Kyle received his Bachelor of Science in Dietetics at Missouri State University, completed his dietetic internship through Cox College, and earned a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition through The University of Alabama. He has received specialized training in nutrition diagnostics and the nutrition-focused physical exam. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Health Sciences through A.T. Still University.
Kyle has been at CoxHealth since 2008. He first worked as an inpatient dietitian at Cox South hospital before transitioning to Cox College in 2012 to begin his journey as an educator. Particular interests in dietetics include research methodology in nutrition, nutrient-depleting medications, and medical nutrition therapy in chronic disease.
