Overview

Cox College’s flagship nursing curriculum prepares nursing students for the complex decision making skills and ethical values nursing professionals must possess in today’s health care landscape. This program’s hands-on courses ensure graduating nurses are prepared to function in structured health care settings and provide nursing care under established policies, procedures and protocols. In addition, graduates are prepared to assume leadership roles in the provision of health care.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space el_id=”TOP “][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_text_separator title=”Degrees Offered”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″ el_class=”center”][vc_single_image image=”17698″ img_size=”250×250″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″][vc_column_text]

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

Many students begin their educational journey to nursing by obtaining an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree. At this level students who gain entry to the ASN program and maintain a full-time study, have the ability to graduate in two years. Graduates will be prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®). After passing this examination, they will be eligible to begin a career as a registered nurse.

The RN to BSN track provides a baccalaureate degree in nursing for registered nurses with a regionally accredited diploma or an associate degree in nursing. The RN to BSN option requires completion or validation of 120 credit hours. Of these, 70 credit hours are awarded for the prior diploma or associate degree in nursing and 50 credit hours are required for completion within the RN to BSN option. If you are a CoxHealth RN you are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition.
