Cox College Chronicle | December 2023

We’re fortunate that we get to end every single year on a high note, and 2023 was no different! We enjoyed seeing our students finish another semester, and for some of them, turn the page to the next chapter of their lives.
As we prepare for what comes next, here are some of the highlights from the end of 2023 that helped make it a special year.

 

Fall graduation
We had 163 graduates earn their degrees in December! Their persistence and dedication inspires us. We can’t wait to see their unique talents and abilities shape our communities for many years to come.

Nightingale Ceremony

The Nightingale ceremony is such a unique and special event. The soon-to-be-nurses recited the Nightingale pledge and were pinned by their loved ones. They have committed themselves to provide compassionate, person-centered care for all of their patients.

 

ASR spring cohort

Cox College’s Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) program has been approved to launch an annual spring cohort! The inaugural class will begin this month. Best wishes to new students starting this spring!

 

Student DAISY Award Winner

Congratulations to our student DAISY award winner for the fall semester, Desirea Buerge! Desirea is a student in our BSN Accelerated program.

The DAISY award winner is given to a student who exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond expectations. They can be nominated by faculty or by other students. Congrats, Desirea!
