Inaugural spring ASR class to start in January
Cox College’s Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) program has been approved to begin a cohort in the spring semester. In the past, this program has only started in the fall semester, and in January 2024, the inaugural spring class will begin.
We are still accepting applications for the spring cohort until December 15, 2023. You still have a couple of weeks left, but it would best to get the ball rolling now. If you’re interested in applying, here is some additional information about the program.

2. Apply to the ASR (Associate of Science in Radiography) program – Spring 2024 Start
3. Submit the following:
- Job shadowing Experience – it does not need to be done at Cox, but need to do at least 4 hours and use the interview form from our website to interview a technologist when you job shadow
- Two letters of reference – can be personal or professional, prefer at least one of each
- Personal Essay – 1-2 pages of greatest accomplishments and why radiology
- Transcripts – Have official ones sent after the fall semester
- Can send unofficial ones in the mean time
- You do not have to have all pre-reqs done, if you are close we can probably make it work for you!
4. Deadline for applications: December 15th
5. Qualified applicants will get interviews that will be held virtually from 12/18 through 12/21
- The student will receive a packet to review and send back electronically
- Acceptance letter status will be e-mailed out on 12/26
- Classes will begin the week of Monday, January 16th, 2024- The first 8-week block: Wednesday and Thursday class 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.- The second 8-week block: (March 18th, 2024 start) Wednesday and Thursday class 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday lab only 12:30-2:30 p.m.
8. We do have courses over the summer semesters for you which begin Tuesday, May 28th and run through Friday, July 19th, 2024
- Wednesday and Thursday class 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
- One day a week of clinicals for 10 hours – will be scheduled with the clinical coordinator
9. You would complete the program in October of 2025 if you started this fall, compared to if you start in the fall of 2024 (August) you will graduate in May of 2026.
