The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track prepares baccalaureate registered nurses seeking to become Advance Practice Nurses who provide holistic care to clients across the life span, which bridges the common gap between physical and mental health care. Admission for this track is in the fall and spring semesters. This track includes online didactic coursework and clinical practicums.
PMHNP Program Overview
The MSN program can be completed in as few as 5 semesters of full-time study or 7 semesters of part-time study.
The PMHNP degree offers 46 credits. Upon completion of the degree, the graduate is eligible to take the national certification exam as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Our MSN program also offers a Family Nurse Practitioner track that requires 46 credit hours for completion. A post-masters certificate option is also offered for both tracks.
